1978 'rude 175 Temperature

Greetings,

I want to install a temperature gauge on my outboard. There isn't any way I can tap into the water jacket so I'll have to settle for head temperature. What do I need to purchase and how do I hook it up? Should I do separate senders/gauges for each cylinder?

Most OMC motors have a tapped boss for mounting the sender. Use a little Crisco or grease for better heat transfer. Make sure to get the deal for outboards ... it's different than for I/O and inboards. One gauge per motor is fine unless you're especially anal.
