My boat wont drive straight at low speeds and has trouble getting up on plane. Where the adjustable trim tab is, the part that goes on the end of the lower housing is broken and I need to know the name of it so I can locate a new piece.

The wording of your question is a bit confusing as what you need is a new trim tab which you already mention?? When you get it you will need to adjust it.

By the way that should have nothing to do with the problem of getting up on plane.

The piece located below your prop on the outdrive itself that looks like an upside down shark fin is called a SKEG.

If it's broken you can get one from Skeguard that slips OVER the broken one and fastens using 2 small bolts.. I believe..

Look up Skeguard on the web if that's the piece you are talking about..

It won't have anything to do with your planing off but will help to make your boat go straight.

PB
