I recently bought a 16' 1978 Sea Nymph with a 25 hp suzuki, 2 cylinder 2 cycle, remote control(swift decal on motor cover). The engine itself looks pretty good under the cover. The plastic prop nut cracked in half and I'm not too confident in epoxy to hold it together. I've done some minor things so far like replacing plugs and shift cable for gear selection. I've ordered a repair manual but I wondered if you guys could steer me in the right direction for replacement parts if I need them, like fuel pump and water pump and if possible the prop nut. I haven't tried starting it yet and I don't want to dump too much money into it if I can't get parts for it. I pain $750 for boat, trailer and motor. The motor doesn't have many hours on it. I think the last year it was run was in 1988.

The closest dealer is about 90 miles away and they weren't too helpful when I called them the other day.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I did stumble onto that website and found it very useful, especially the parts reference for all the older years. I found a 14mm nut at Lowe's to replace the plastic prop nut and I found a water pump impeller from Sierra marine, so hopefully that will be the right one. Now we'll see if I can get the beast running.
