1979 100hp Evinrude Gap and Oil

Im a newbie to these outboard engines. but i figured id do a tuneup and change gear oil and change spark plug.

i used a Type C 75 Gear oil... is that the right stuff?

and what is the gap for the plugs? or does it even matter?

You should use a high viscosity marine lower unit gear oil.

Most who frequent this forum seem to prefer the Champion QL77JC4 set at .030.

The folks who run the site and created the charts are all experts.
