HELP! Going crazy.

Have a 79 140HP Johnson that will not get past 1900RPM. This happened suddenly while riding. Was running amazing for an hour then went to apply throttle and it would not go beyond 1900rpm.
1)Checked compression in all 4 cyliners and its 130-120 in all of them.
2)Changed dirty fuel filter on fuel pump, changed plugs.
3)Tried the "primer bulb pump" test while running to see if fuel pump was suspect... No difference.
4)Checked carb butterflys were opening good an synced up....all were good.

Motor seems to be leaving a small stream of fuel out the back at idle and smells of gas. Is it possible its running on 3 cylinders and still runable? This happened in an instant out on the water with no other symtoms! PLEASE ANY HELP!

Sounds like a 3 cylinder motor to me. Make sure all fuel lines are airtight and try to identify where that fuel is coming from. Next step check for a good spark on all cylinders. Could be a power pack if no or bad spark on 1 cylinder.

Fuel lines all look fine. No visible fuel leaking, it seems to be coming out the exhaust. Will check spark tomorrow and report back.
