Ayuh,... With the help provided here, my new motor for my 12' tugboat is workin' Great...
But,...
I found another bit of a problem,... actually 2 of 'em...

The prop is seized to the propshaft,..
That's not a problem in itself, as I'm quite capable of cuttin' it off..
I'd just like to wait til the end of the season...
The other issue is, the lower is Leakin'...
Anyways,...
Considerin' these things,...
My question is,..??

What other vintages, 'n horsepower motors use this same lower unit,..??
I think I'd like to hunt down a "Parts motor" so's I'll have plenty of spare parts....

Thanks again for the help offered....;)

You will need to check the serial number range for the unit as there are different length shift shafts

For the right carb, ign, lower unit etc. you need a 1974 or newer 7.5 serial #3801459 up or 9.8 serial #3795658 up
