1979 70HP Merc Lower Unit Preload Pin and Compatibility

I have a 1979 70 HP Mercury Outboard. I broke my lower unit. I took it out and it has a preload pin on the top of the shaft.

I found someone selling a used lower unit for a 1979 90 HP Mercury Outboard. It looks very similar yet it has no preload pin.

Will this work for me? Anything else I should watch for?

Will not work as the 90 is bigger case and shaft ,you need a unit off a 3 cylinder 50-70hp engine.
