1979 85 hp evinrude

hi everyone i have a quick question or problem i have a 1979 85 hp evinrude motor i just change the spark plugs and run the motor for about 5 min after that i noticed some white smoke and lose of power i went back to check the spark plugs and on one of the cylinders the spark plug was like new no residues of gas or burning it was like new and on the other 3 it was residues of burning what could be causing this problem please help me

The clean plug is probably not getting any spark. Check for spark with an inductive timing light or a spark checker device. That engine will seem to run just fine on 3 cyls when idling on the trailer.

i does have spark i already check it i changed the coil from one cylinder to the one that is no working and still the same,and i had the motor running it kind of shocked me when i unplug the wire from the plug so i dnt know wat else to check for....

Could be water in the cylinder. Otherwise, is the gap on the plug right?

Check to be sure that the spark plug wires are not shorting to ground. Esp, the two lower plugwires-which are located close to the lower cowling latches. (they are even closer if the upper cowling is in place.) You could even run it at night (in the dark) with the cowling off to check for arcing to ground. Is the plug an upper plug or lower?

if u see the motor facing front is the lower left cylinder
