Found this today, 19' baretta 160 hp inboard.

Owner claims engine was rebuilt 2 years ago and *should* crank but won't turn over with the switch. Asking 650.00 for boat + trailer also claims that it has new carpet & seats.

This sounds like one of those crazy end of the season deals. But I don't know much about baretta boats. I'm sending him an email to see what type of engine/drive she has & if he has a clear title on the boat+trailer.

Re: 1979 Baretta

Update:

Owner says that the engine is a Mercruiser and boat/trailer have no title. Also claims to have someone bringing $500.00 cash to pick it up tommorow.

Re: 1979 Baretta

We had two -- one we owned with a neighbor in Dallas that was just like that, and one we owned by ourselves after leaving Texas with a 4 banger 140 merc back in the day. I can't even tell you the year. Our second one was a v-hull, though. They were nothing compared to the malibu I had following them, but I will tell you, the amount of fun and memories we had in those boats is unmeasurable! The only problems we ever had were the teak accents in the interior eventually needed to be replaced, and I had to constantly add oil to the outer drive. Heck of a great boat back in the day.
