Hello all. Does anyone know what is in between the idle screw and the crab . O rings ? Some kind of cork packing? whatever it is it's missing as soon as I turn the fuel on it just squirts out of around the screw . Also would appreciate a fix because almost all parts are obsolete.
Thanks
Barnacle

In my younger days ( currently 74 yrs old), we often used a heavy thread or cord coated with grease as a packing material, sometimes we used small cork gaskets coated in grease then moved up to O rings if we could find ones that fit. More recently they made packing washers, but not sure what the material used was.. as racerone mentioned, it may well be a float issue

I did have it all apart and cleaned before this problem emerged. It was stopping fuel flow when I turned it upside down and blew into the fuel inlet. Maybe some chunk of something made its way in there after reassembly . I will take it apart and clean it again . Poor old girl has been sitting with no fuel lines for 20 years at least.
