Well it will definitely be a lot of work but that's a nicely shaped hull and has a good motor on it. I think it's worth the effort you're about to put into it. It also looks like it has a decent amount of deadrise so it might not be the fastest boat on the water but will handle great in the chop.

These pic with conclude my deck restoration. I will flip my boat over and do some restoration to the Hull/ Bottom

Spraying Monofoan into the underside of the Plywood between the Deck and SM Insulation. The pressure should add extra stability to the hull.

Last step before the marine carpet. The carpet will be the last thing I do.

Hello all

I have my boat flipped over and the hull/Bottom restoration is in progress and coming along beautifully.

Upon inspection I relizied that I would need to grind and full in the chips and dinks in the bottom of the boat. So I started with the grinding and then the Fuller. Many hours of Sanding and the hull/Bottom is starting to look awesome.

Re: 1979 Crestliner Crusader 770 Restoration

Good afternoon. I bought a 1979 Crestliner Crusader about 3 months ago that looks exactly like your boat. I don't have much boating experience but I'd like to learn and do some of the work myself. The individual I got it from said that he had someone put a different motor in it and never finished the job. I'm going to drop it in the shop as a last resort as I don't know anyone who an come and show me. This is my first boat, so I have some learning to do. It's a nice looking boat with an inboard motor. The outdrive was taken apart and the prop is removed. The throttle lever won't move. Also, the cluster of switches that control the outdrive has no markings. I need to find an owners manual to start. I will add pics and more info later.
