I noticed that when the throttle plate just starts to open, the roller is about 1" away from the two marks on the cam. According to my manual I should loosen the screw on the throttle shaft and slide it up and down.

Yet I can't see how that will line the roller up to the marks on the cam. It needs to go left or right.

Can someone suggest something? Thanks

Are you talking about the marks on the throttle linkage?

Not real familiar with that engine but I would follow the manual. Especially if it is an OEM manual. If you lossen the screw on the throttle shaft and slide it up or down it should move that roller left or right. If your throttle is pushed forward the roller moves to the right doesn't it? Try it and see. I will see if I can find a model close to wht you have and see what I can do.

Fireman 57,
Yes I have an OEM manual. It took awhile to figure out the operation between the two adjustments. I got it to come back within 1/4' of the marks on the cam. I noticed the plastic roller has a flat spot on it which might be part of the problem. When it said to go to full throttle, I pushed the throttle all the way to the rear so the throttle plate opened completely, and then adjusted the rod.

It still runs! I will check it again later. Too hot out. Thanks. Bob
