Hi guys,

I have a 1979 Johnson 55 Seahorse. The fuel line that connects the two carbs has seen better days and I need to replace it, but I forgot to measure it and the boat is hours away at the lake. Does anyone know what size I need?

Many thanks

Bill

For that vintage I would replace ALL of the fuel lines, both inside and out, including the primer bulb. Make sure to use the correct clamps.

if you have an Evinrude/OMC dealer nearby just go there tell them what you have and they will set you up. They buy it by the spool and sell it by the foot. I have just replaced all of the lines on my 1983 60hp and the cost of the hose wasn't that much. Replace from the fuel connector to the fuel pump, from the pump to the carbs and the smaller diameter hose from the carb to the choke.
