Re: 1979 Johson SeaHorse 150
I'm not trying to be a smart guy(if you know what I mean), but it's only worth what people will pay. Crossflows are a dying breed. Don't get me wrong, I love them. I have a 112, a ported 150, a gt 150 , and a blown 150 powerhead. I love messing with them and tuning them and making them run hard. But people don't want them anymore......they are a niche' now. I just sold my 235 for 2000. But that was built from scratch with 0 hrs on the powerhead when I built it. It was in a box for 30 years. I basically built it for free labor. I had completely disassembled a 150 down to the powerhead and the rest of the motor separated(to repaint it with urethane). I reassembled it and put newcoils and a 35a stator and rectifier(both new). I had a hard time getting 1800 for it. The motor looked brand new. So, like I said, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay.
