Hi there all,

I have a '79 Lund C14 aluminum fishing boat i bought for dirt cheap & finally finished some other projects so i can start fixing up this one. Won't be a restore, but a fixer upper to be used as i am on a tight budget.

Here are some pics of "Patches"

Toughest part so far is going to finding a replacement tag that goes on the transom. Maybe someone has a picture of one so i could copy it.

Will continue to update with pics as she progresses.

I found you Myyke. The least of your concerns is finding the proper ID tag for this boat. It's toast Myyke, literally. A tight budget isn't getting that boat in the water safely. I see a thousand rivets and several sheets of aluminum and an English wheel and aluminum welding in your future. The Transport Canada tag is available from the Canadian Feds in New Brunswick, we had to replace 1 a few years back. Only needed if you float the boat in Canada. Good luck man.

I bought the boat for $100.00, not really worried about full restore for now. Once i put the 3/8 transom i built on, just gonna put patches on it to seal it, then a quick sand blast inside & bed liner it. It’s a bush boat, not really worried about looks. Once i can afford it, i can rebuild it properly.

You mean 5/8th or 3/4" transom don't you? Bed liner to keep the water out Myyke? How about that stuff they cut a hole out of the bottom and replace with a screen and spray it on to float the boat? Good luck, keep me up to date, I'm interested how you are going to get her to float and keep floating. How much is that bed liner, spray on?

Ya it’s 3/8 aluminum for the stern. Patch on the side is gonna be 1/8 aluminum. Only thing going on it for now is an electric motor when finished.
