I have this engine and it is not charging at all. At wot while running down the lake all it is out putting is 11.85. I am not sure where to start looking. In the spring it went to the shop and the replaced 2 power packs and the voltage regulator. I cannot afford another 700.00 bill. Any help would be awsome. Thanks for any help.

Check your rectifier and while you have it disconnected check your stator. All you need is a multimeter.

One post should have a + by it the red goes there the 2 yellow go on the remaining 2 posts and the gray goes with either one of the yellows

Thanks for the wiring info. How do i check the stator ? Is there a "how to" floating around? Where would be a good place to get a shop manual?

testing stator the best way will require a DVA and a good voltmeter

ohms you can test but i use those to back up my volt test
