1979 mercury 150 gear ratio?

my lower unit went out on my 1979 150. I bought a blew up 200 hp and put lower unit on my 150. I have searched up and down and have found nothing set in stone on gear ratio. Can anyone help?

standard 2.0's like your 150 would be 2:1's... tha 200 should be 1:87's.. standard on 2.4's, 2.5's except tha xr4 and xr6.. so ya might have ta tweak on your prop some....

What ever pitch your running now most likely will need to be drooped 1 size

Its a 17ft glastream bass boat. Just wondering what would be a good all around pitch for it. I will look when I get home to see what I have. But it was sluggish on holeshot with other lower unit.

if it was "slugish" before it will be a tad worse with tha 1.87.. ya may need ta go down a tad more than Faz suggest........

which glass stream? yr., model?
offset?
motor height?
max rpm?
prop type, pitch?
