Ok using my DVA I have low voltage going to my coils when the wire is hooked up. When I disconnect the wire from the coils I get 160 volts to the wire. Does this mean my coil packs are bad? Same on all of them. 1979 115 ELPT

Wide_N, I have a really hard time thinking that all six coils are reading the same low voltage readings because they are bad. I mean the probability of that is nearly impossible. So I don't think the coils are bad myself. However, I would suspect your DVA and/or meter before jumping to the coil packs. Logic doesn't point to the coils... JMHO

It actually reads 0 while it is cranking and shows several different readings when I quit cranking.

All of the could read 0 between positive and negative terminals.
