I am looking at buying this as a first time boat. The buyer is willing to let it go for $450 with trailer. Now, it needs some work. The motor works, I heard it running fine. It is missing the gas tank, but they were using a gas can hooked into the line to feed gas to it. It has a johnson 115 horsepower motor

They turned it into a fishing boat, so they took all of the seats out of it, except the drivers and passengers and read facing seat combos. My question is:

Does anybody have a picture of what the interior is supposed to look like? The little pieces that go on the side inside are missing, but that's not a problem as I can make new ones myself. I wanted to know about the interior though, and want some pictures to see what the interior is supposed to look like.

The replaced the floor on it, and did a very good job at it. They pulled the original carpet up, and were going to put the new carpet in, but ran out of time so they put it in the boat.

My question is, is it worth it to get it for $450 and do the little bit of repairs needed to get it working? I plan to make new seats myself for it in the front (There is a wrap around bench in the front that they covered with a weather treated osb platform for fishing). and also replacing the trim panels along the inside of it.

This is a first boat so I am not looking for spectacular, but if somebody could get me a picture of what it SHOULD look like inside, i'd appreciate it!

I'd get it just because that motor alone is worth over $800 if running. That looks like a nice stable hull. The main problem with old fiberglass boats is rot in the wooden components of the hull: deck, stringers, transom. These things are repairable but it is a big job to do properly and the fiberglassing materials aren't exactly cheap. I am suspicious of any old boat with a "new floor" as it's probably just some new plywood installed over top of old rotted stuff. The fact that they built anything for a boat using OSB is certainly not a good sign.

That being said, as I mentioned before, there's way more that $450 worth of stuff there so I'd grab it.
