I can afford to put how ever much it would need, if its worth what it needs. Are those motors bullet proof like alot of those style merc's are, or any idea if they are pron to any specific probs ? I know it will need a impeller asap, but other then that we shall see when we get there tomorrow, im told its "solid" but of course, who doesn't say that.

The price on these boats sure depends on what part of the country they are for sale in. Lower price the futher east you go and much higher in the west and Canada. Compared to the deal I got that one looks pretty good even if you have to do some work. It looks like the paint is getting pretty rough. Make sure to check the bottom for bad dents or damage. The interiors are not real hard to replace, but check the floor for soft spots and one of the worst places for rot on these boats is the wood in front of the counsols that your feet will be against, if they are soft and rotten at the bottom chances are pretty good the floor will be under them. As far as the Merc I don't have a lot of experince with them, but would rather run a Johnyrude.
