Good afternoon, this weekend I purchased a 1979 StarCraft Fiberglass American Offshore 22'. I was told by the owner that the electrical probably needed to be redone because a previous owner had started to work on it and it stoped working. It seems like it's in pretty good shape other than that. I am looking forward to getting it ready for next spring/summer! Any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated!

Before starting any work....check carefully the wood skeleton for dry rot. At the boats age, it is highly probable the wood is rotted and needs replaced.
For your safety and your passengers, do a thorough test of that wood structure.

what is the powertrain in it OB or IO? if IO certainly look at the bellows. Both will need impellers replaced.

If I recall older starcrafts would get cracks on the chine, may have been models earlier than yours. Also can leak at the rivets.
