1979 Starcraft SS

Hello everyone. I have a 18' 79 Starcraft SS Runabout that my father purchased new in 79. I have done a few things to it like replaced the flooring, (wood and carpet), re-did any loose rivets, and I also had to beef up the transom due to the fact that when my dad bought it, they put a 150 HP Johnson OB on it. He was contacted by the dealer saying to bring it in because it was too much motor for the transom. Yeah, he took it right down.....NOT! So we made it work. The boat has been sitting now for 5 years with no use as I was out of state. What do I need to look for that may need replacement? Other than the obvious of course, hoses, etc.. And, where is a good place online to buy specific Starcraft OEM stuff. Like emblems, steering wheel, etc?

Welcome!!! You have stumbled upon probably the largest collection of Starcraft enthusiasts on the 'net. I've got pretty much the same boat. Mine is rated for 150 though so I think your good there. There really aren't OEM parts available for any boat. Most boat parts are generic. Right here at the iboats store is a good place to start for the things you need.
