Hi,
My trim only goes down with power. The motor spins in up and down tho. I was wondering if any one knows which lines are pressured for up and which are pressured for down? Also which adjustable valve is for what? There is one bearing valve alone then there is one beside a plunger valve. Which one is to stop the engine from dropping back down once trimmed or tilted?
Some thing is limiting pressure for lift, I'm trying to find the culprit. The gears look to be fine if not new. I do suspect the drive gear shaft popping out of the gear, might weld it to be sure (don't think I can mushroom the end without bending the shaft)

Any info would be great! I haven't been able to find any!

Hope I don't need to spend a day of trial n error!!

The smaller lines are for the up direction. I have never heard that the control valve is adjustable, nor repairable.

If the armature is popping out of the gear, you have a problem with the motor. Maybe the bushings are bad or the endcap is installed improperly? There should not be any up/down play in armature.

Hi, thanks for the replies... I can't post pictures easily from my phone. There is only one trim system that has 4 lines and 2 solinoids isn't there?
There is 3 adjustable valves 2 with a bearing and one with a plunger. Once I get the boat home (it's at a friends) I'll tear into it and see if the armature has play, hope it's the plastic coupler!
