Ive got a 1980 35HP Evinrude Model number E35RCSM. The carb thats on the motor, not sure if its the original, is a manual choke carb. There is no bracket for a solenoid to operate the choke. Im missing the linkage and pull not that mounts to the housing in order to operate the choke, and am unable to find a part number or diagram in order to order what I need. Any ideas?

Re: 1980 35HP Carb Question

the only difference is the carb bowl. the electric has the mount for the choke solenoid. look up E35ECSM. the linkage if available, these guys will have it. call them, and inquire. http://tcoutboard.com/

Re: 1980 35HP Carb Question

After re-reading my original post I see that it's a little cofusing. I realize that the carbs are the same. I trying to locate the hardware that actualy opperates the choke. I have the linkage on the carb itself, just missing the rest of the hardware, grommet, pull lever, and what ever else is used. I will give them a call. Thanks.

Re: 1980 35HP Carb Question

I think I found what I was looking for, found the parts under the motor cover section, not the carb section. Go figure.
