I need to rebuild the tilt cylinder on my outboard and want to order the parts in advance. BRP shows both a Showa and Prestolite is possible for my model. Is there any way to determine if I have the Showa or Prestolite tilt before I take it apart? It's the tilt trim that has two trim and one tilt cylinder all on the inside of the motor mount bracket. Thanks in advance.

I've looked and could not find anything. I'm thinking I will just rebuild the trim cylinders first and then figure out the tilt cylinder when I'm working on trim.

Are you sure its not a Prestolite or Calco?
Prestolite has the control cables come out of the side and the fill plug is near the bottom.
On the calco the plug is about a third of the way up

Call BRP customer service at 1-262-884-5993 and ask them how to tell the difference. Let us know what they have to say.

Here is the parts list for your unit. I just picked one up just like it.

Shows the wire coming out of the top. Also give you the parts numbers needed Part 91 is the pump.
