Hi. I found this one. It appears to have a good floor and substructure. It will need new seats. The back to back seats have been replaced with a few folding bass boat type on pedestals. It was last on the lake in summer of 2016. He wants $1500.00 for it. I do not know which model it is. According to boatcrazy_com it could be a Cheetah, Marlin, Scorpion, Stinger or Sting-Ray. Can you ID? What are your thoughts?

Not unless it was PERFECT inside and out plus the motor runs perfect..................

The 470 isn't a popular motor

Appears to have a good floor and substructure, but needs new seats

Has the carpet been replaced?

If so, it could be a deck-over, hiding the original carpet, plywood deck and rotten stringers. Common 'trick' sellers use to hide defects.

Thanks. I don't think the carpet has been replaced. It needs it though. Between the stains and the long dead possum in the floor in front of where the driver sits. Looking at the edge of the deck in the ski locker, the floor is just one layer thick.

so how much are you paying for the free boat?

if you buy it, assume you need to gut and re-hab the hull in addition to the interior. plan on spending $4-5k

me, personally I would not buy it unless it belonged to a long-lost family member for the following reasons:
its a tri-hull
its a 39 year old boat
it has a 470 motor
its blue

I spent more time with this boat today. There was not any coolant in the engine. I poured a gallon in. It started coming out of the fresh water drain outlet. It looks like the heat exchanger is bad. $400.00 for a new one. $100.00 at a local radiator shop to see if one of the tubes could be soldered closed. After getting the other comments about this boat, I decided to pass and take it back to the owner. The search continues...
