me, my lab and boat went for a swim that was not intended, anyway after getting boat off the bottom, i pickled the engine and cleaned the carbs, flushed fuel tank, cleaned all connections, took off flywheel and cleaned under there. i have fire right at first then fades completely out, turn off the key and try again same thing, could this be a ignition switch problem? i know it,s hard to tell when one goes under, please help, all washed up down south

If you did not change the ignition switch, I'd do that first, that may fix your problem. also if you have the emergency ignition cut-off switch, you may have to replace that also.
