I recently aquired a Mariner 25hp tiller shortshaft.

I believe it is severely overpropped even for my little 13.5' aluminum boat with it's 9 7/8X14 prop.

I'd like to find a used prop for it, but unsure if it shares a common propeller shaft size, or application with any other motors.

Model # 25M
Ser# 695s 018699

It has Yamaha markings cast into the block.

I would assume the Yamaha prop of same vintage would work.

Did these motors share the same prop shaft dimentions with Mercury, or others of this vintage?

Mariner 25 hp 1980 to 85 -- 28 hp 1978 + 79 -- 30 hp 1978 to 90 have common props

Do you think this might have a prop shaft dimension similar to, and might be able to use propellers used on Mercury or Yamaha motors?

Quicksilver prop book says on the mariner engine list above other than that I don't know, because I'm one of the old guys who don't work on Jap stuff.
