Have had boat 16 months, Tilt Trim did not work
at all.Found brushes siezed in holders.Replaced
brush and springs,It worked good for about 1 month.
When it was working, motor would lift and lower
and not leakdown. The inside of the trim elec. motor was badly corroided. My question is, when I turn the thumb wheel on the trim assy. to manually
raise and lower the outboard I am unable to lift the motor from the down position.I have found a replacement trimmotor/resivor assy for about 210.00. But I here the trim pump assy. is not available. Any suggestions on evaluating the
hydrolic part of the system before the investment
of the elec. motor? Is it poss to remove the armature of the motor and use a drill motor to
spin the pump? Also a couple of the fluid lines
at the pump unit appear to be leaking a bit. Is
this normally corrected by o-rings or is it a bigger problem? Thanks
