1980 Mercruiser 470, 3.7L Drive shaft oil seal removal

Hello again,

I need to replace the oil seal around the short drive shaft in the out drive, I've taken off the BIG castle nut, but that is apperently not whats holding the shaft in. Looks like the nut on the inside of the shaft is holding it all in. (I guess).

Please tell me how to remove the shaft to install the seal.
And also how to put the new seal in without damage. I'd prefer to not buy special tools.

UPDATE:
Well, it looks like it is the big nut that holds it all in. I could not pull out the U joint assembly, but by putting slight pressue on the bolt from the inside with a screw driver, the assembly came right out. I can now pull the old seal out and replace it.
