Alright gents, heres the problem. This motor wasn't run in years and was of unknown condition when my friend bought it. I replaced a complete water water pump on this motor and then had a water leak inside the cowl (a hose running from the lower aft port side to the fuel pump). I replaced that hose and then got a nice stream of water out the side. Now, I have water dripping out of the starboard side of the motor below the cowl and spraying out the port side forward by the rubber shock mounts. Any thoughts where the leak might be coming from?

Has anyone seen this problem before or know where I should start looking to solve it?

It looks as if I have exhaust and water coming from the area where the powerhead and lower unit meet. What seals the two together at that point?

The water was determined to be coming out around the rubber mounted bolts that attach the midsection to the transom mount. case closed.
