Greetings everyone! I’m fairly new to this forum as well as boating in general but I’m hoping I can find answers here, so like the title says I own a 1980 Mercury 50 hp 2 stroke that spits gas out of the carburetor when I prime the motor via the primeball, also it won’t start unless I give it almost full throttle and when I do get it started it dies when I put it in gear and if I can get it to stay running once in gear it bogs down at WOT. Any Ideas and thank you for taking the time to read this

Upon further inspection it looks like it’s coming from the idle adjust screw, would the float valve still be causing that?

Post picture of where it is leaking from !----Not sure how fuel can leak from idle adjust screw.

I called my local marine mechanic and he said there is a overflow right next to the idle adjust screw so it’s more than likely flooding the carburetor
