1980 Skeeter needs new wood

Recently bought a 1980 16ft Skeeter fiberglass bass boat. The wood under the floor is water logged and falling apart. I want to replace it. I need a GREAT instruction manual to show me how to do this. Also this boat weighs about four thousand pounds, anything I can do to lighten it up a bit.

I would say remove all the water logged wood and foam that should be good for 2-3000 pounds all by itself . I will add as far as instructions on the deck /stringer/ transom replacement start reading theres ALOT of great info and pictures in this forum . Once you have a good idea of what to do start tearing into it and if you run into trouble post up here with pics and somebody will be along to bail you out Welcome to iboats.
