1980 Viking 160 SI w/115 tower of power

The prop I have now is a 13 1/4" 17 pitch, rpm is at 5,000.

The perferred rpm range is around 5,500 for the outboard.

I am planning on getting a 15 pitch to put me in the 5,300 to 5,400 rpm range, would my calculations be correct?

Your calculations would be correct. 2" of pitch is 300-400 RPM
