1980s Force 35 / 50 HP Driveshaft diameter

Hello,
I have been trying to sell a lower unit on eBay for a while now, I believe it to be a 1987 35 HP force. As far as I know, the 35 and 50 HP force lower units from the 1980s are pretty much identical. I have sold this lower unit twice and had it returned both times, with the reason being the driveshaft diameter is too small. I just got another force 50 to part out and the lower unit looks identical, but it does have a larger diameter driveshaft, as everyone else stated when they returned the other one. So my question is, are the 35 and 50 lower units different?

Without knowing the year of both units and the model# really hard to say?
​But if they return it because it's the wrong size??
​The 87 35 and 50 have different part #s for the driveshaft, so I'm guessing it's only gonna fit the 35.
817896A 2 is the part # for the 35 complete
FC486054 is for the 50 complete.
​That's for the 87 there might be # changes but the 35 looks to fit only the 20/25/30/35.

The 35 and 50Hp LU are different.
35Hp has a smaller diameter drivshaft then the 50Hp.

The gear ratio is also different 35Hp has 13:26, 50Hp has 13:21.
