These kind of portable navigation lights are great for inflatables:

I like using schedule 40 PVC to fabricating masts and mounts etc. -- it's cheap, easy to cut and glue, there are lots of different sizes and fittings and it's corrosion proof. You can also use a bungee to temporarily mount a bow light (assuming you have a life line or something to attach it to).

If you post some pics of your boat I might be able to give you some more specific ideas.

Thanks Jon, I will grab some shots of it.......I'm in no hurry here in Oregon, Still bad weather so I have a month or so. That front light I'm guessing im going to have to Drill a hole through the Bow to get wire through to switch I don't want to have it flopping in the wind......Were do you get those lights at.

I don't think you have drill a hole in the boat (unless you want to make it a permanent fixture, I guess). These are self-contained battery powered lights so there's no wiring and it's pretty easy to rig up a secure mounting with a little creativity. Do you have something on the bow (a line or D ring) that you can attach to with a bungee or some hose clamps etc.?

Note: some of these lights come with suction cups and while they might stick to a smooth surface like fiberglass, I wouldn't trust them on PVC/hypalon. I'd remove the suction cup and find a more secure method of mounting.

The Iboats store various versions of them:

Definitely get the LED version, even though they cost a bit more than the incandescent ones. The LEDs put out more light and the batteries last much longer.

Good luck.
