Model number-E25BACIM----thinking of buying, not seen it yet, only a picture. From what I can gather it has an electric start, which it shouldn't have according to the model number.
Any ideas?

Thanks for your reply R,I put the model number up on here and the guy had enquired on here about in 2013.Sadly he has passed away and his son has it up for sale. It's 200 miles from where I am here in the uk.
I was thinking of buying it as a project.
Kind regards

Electric start good as these ol' buggers are hard to pull with the manual starter! I had an ol' 40 I used 2 hands to pull for years. Really built up the arm muscles. Some times at first start the rope will fling back in under high pressure and can jerk you forward and almost seem to do damage to your arm.

Thanks Th,I didn't bid on the motor.I'm no spring chicken,and I have a 25hp 1999 johnson,and that can be a beast to pull start.
I'll be using a 1963 18hp fastwin this season,it's a pull start with steering,I've lifted the transom so the cav plate is 3'' higher dead in line with bottom of the transom.I'm hoping it will make a big difference.

If the recoil pulley is properly " timed " then that 63 model 18 HP is not that bad to pull over.

I've used the 18hp on the river,R1,it runs sweet as a nut.
I'll be fishing off the North Wales coast with it this season.

Yes , those 22 cubic inch motors are just absolutely wonderful motors if maintained properly.----Some will be running long after the modern motors have expired in my opinion.
