I never heard of this engine he said it looked like a 350 with 327 Heads can anyone help me? when I get it I want to replace the engine ( it knocks) but don't know what size to buy to make it compatible with the drive!! HELP!!!! Tim Davids (219)677-3038

hey if you gotta get a new motor in that boat you might think about a 454. ive got a 350 5.7 in my 24.5ft ciera and its ok....but the boat weighs 4400lbs and the 350 will push it along at 35mph at full throttle. also think about omc...around here it is hard to find parts and someone to work on them. if i do it again im getting a merc-cruiser for sure...thought you might like to know.

I second the thought about OMC. I'd love for mine to die so I could replace it with something else. Instead it nickels and dimes me with problems that I have trouble finding parts for. Why wouldn't you consider getting what you have rebuilt?

Hey Boater, Tell you the truth the torquer crap is probably a load of crap... Dont rebuild it if it runs have fun with it till it breaks then fix it.
