1981 Chrysler 55hp Need help with lower unit

I have a 1981 Chrysler 55hp out board (model # 559H1N) and the lower unit was full of metal shavings. I was wondering if there is a place to buy the parts to repair this and a breakdown so i can get everything i need. Or what years and motors will the lower unit interchange with so i can find a used one I am in Minnesota if anyone has one around here. Thanks for the help in advance.

There isnt any more chyrsler marine dealerships obviously cause theres no more chyrsler marine. You may be able to get what your looking for from Franz's Marine Service http://www.franzmarine.com/

Toms specalizes in old outboards in central WI he's the guy you want to talk to.
Laings is out on the east coast.

Between these 4 places you should find all you need.
Also You may want to browse craigslist for a lower unit. Might find one cheap outboards with a bad motor.
