I just got a used 7.5 Gamfisher model #217.585940.<br />On the rear of the shaft about half way up there are 2 holes, what are these? And how do I know if the water pump is working? Thanks
Welcome to iboats and you just killed two birds...<br /><br />The holes are exhaust relief holes and also serve as an indicator for the water pump. You should get a strong misty spray of water along with exhaust out of those.
