I just purchased a 1981 skeeter ss-1 sport fisherman and was wondering if any of you could help me. First thing the USCG Capacity Plate is unreadable on it and was wondering the max person capacity and max wieght capacity. Second I cann't find a wiring diagram or owners manual any where mandy you can help me . thanks

Have a 1978 SS1, 15ft and am having the same problem. So am rewiring everything one wire at a time.

I have a 1984 Skeeter ss-1 fisherman that is a 15 footer.
The max horsepower is said to be 85 horses (seems pretty high for 15 feet. The person cap. is 4 people or 465 lbs. the total max weight (people engine gas equipment etc) 1010 lbs. Hope this helps.

In terms of wiring, the wiring in these old boats tends to be out of control:%
I have been slowly removing old wires that went to accessories that were on the boat many years ago.
For the rewire, just keep all the engine stuff the way it was, then add your electronics through a fused bus bar under the dash. Make sure to label all the wires so that if ever you need to replace something it will be simple and quick.

HI...newbe here. I have just purchased a 1979 SS-1. The name plate on my SS-1 has a 90 hp max.

I'm in need of some help with decals. Does anyone have a pic of where and what decal goes where? I don't know if I should be asking this question here but I thought I would start here. My SS-1 has the wrong decals and am wanting to change that.

Any pix would help and would be appreciated.

Try tinysfiberglass.com for the decals. I am about to rebuild a 81 ss-1 sport fisherman and am looking for the same thing. I haven't contacted them yet but he shows to have them on his website.

Thanks...I did go to the web-sight. He has them and they are $50.43 shipped to your door. Tiny's didn't have a pic of the decals. I would like to know what they look like and what location. Is there a web-page that shows a pic of a SS-1 sport fisherman?

So the one console SS-1 is the sport fisherman?
