1981 V4 115ho Trim Tilt Wiring diagram needed/question!

Hey all. I have a question for you. First off, I need to know how to diagnose a problem with the PT & T on my 81' 115hp evinrude. It is the 2 wire model.

Couple of questions: would hooking up a 12 volt power source directly to the trim motor fry it also does the sending unit affect the trim tilt function or only the gauge?

If anyone has a wiring diagram or the pages from the service manual about diagnosing/ trouble shooting the electrical system on the trim/tilt that would be great!!! I have been working off of a 78' manual and of course that has the 3 wire model and different control box. SO it is useless.

the 2 wire model operates of 12 volt direct current. connecting to the wires to the battery runs the motor one direction, reverse the wires and the motor runs the other direction. tilt sensor, should have nothing to do with the operation. if you motor runs when connected directly, you have a problem with either switches, short or broken wire, or relays in the tilt junction box. unplug the solenoids, and clean contacts. to test the switch, the red wire is positive, jumping to the green or blue the trim should run.
