1982 50 Merc Charge Battery?

I am a very green newbie and would like to know if my 1982 Mercury 50 Blueband Serial#9341203 has a stator/rectifier to charge a battery?<br />One more thing, the Mercontrol box's fast idle lever does not function due to a snapped cast plate that it is attached to, is this worth replacing or if not what is the closest 'off the shelf' control box to suit(not necessarily Merc)<br />Thank you in advance, and i do apologise for any ignorant errors in this post or future ones! (I am new to all this!)<br />

82 4 cyl Merc 50 Electic start has trigger, stator, rectifier and does charge battery.<br />If you have a OB wrecker, somewhere near, try to get a S/H one otherwise I think there is an Aftermarket "Quicksilver" brand you can get.<br />The Iboaters will Know...
