My issues aren't quite over. I have a bogging and sputtering occurring, that i think is flooding, at lower RPM's before the motor will accept the fuel for WOT. If i nurse it with the choke button on the key, rpms will increase gradually until i can throttle up with the lever. I just redid a bunch of wiring and rebuilt carbs, setting floats to 7/16" max drop as per manual. I put original primary jets (.92) back in both carbs. I also have a set of .084 i have not tried yet. Do you think the smaller jets will eliminate the flooding issue at these lower RPM's? I have read a few posts citing swelling and sticking needles as the culprit, but all seems to move freely when i tear down and inspect. Also, after i finished rewiring, i adjusted throttle arm and spark arm set screws and had it running quite nicely when i was not pulling a tube. However, both
arms are almost side by side with very little gap between them. Due to the length of the set screw on the spark advance arm, i am wondering if there should be a larger gap between the two. Literally one more 1/2 turn out on that screw and it no longer makes contact with the screw stop molded on the block, and as i mentioned, both arms are very close together.
