1982 Johnson 90hp, throttle and shift cables

Anybody know how to lubricate the throttle and shift cables once off the motor and control box.<br />Thanks

If they are disconnected both ends and work hard....replace them.If they are original...same answer.Not worried about working hard,but sticking at high speed under torque.Or breaking when under way.<br />DHP
