It's not exactly rocket science. The word would be synchronized...that is the carb has to be synchronized with the spark. Watch it as you turn the throttle twist grip back and forth. There is a cam plate that rotates and opens the throttle on the carburetor as it does. The carb should just barely start to open as the center of the roller is aligned with a mark on the cam. This will all make sense as you look at it and see how it works.
