I have a 1987 Party Barge that I am putting a new console on. The previous had a side mount Morse control that had broken and I was able to limp through the end of last year. now with the ice here in Wisconsin thawing, I am getting things moving. I would like to replace with a top mount control. Throttle cables work great controlling my '82 Mercury 115 now. Do I have to do anything special to upgrade to top mount?
