The engine is running pretty well now and I am moving on to an issue with the power trim. From the control lever, the large square tilt button works fine (tilting engine up) and the trim toggle switch at the top of the lever works fine to moving the engine down. However, the trim toggle switch will not trim the engine up.

I am going to pull out the manual and see what I can find, but I thought I would check here and see if any of you have any quick suggestions for troubleshooting.

Added after original post: I don't see any trim hydraulics, I only see one large cylinder. Is it possible that my engine only has power tilt and not trim?

Thanks,
Dan

Near the trim pump you will find a blue and a purple wire. Follow the wire at the pump connection. Find where the blue and purple branch off. Tie them together and your set.
Your trim limit switch is bad.

Boatwizard, you were absolutely correct. The trim limit switch was bad and the circuit never closed. I bypassed the trim limit switch as you described and the trim up button is working!

It only took me a month to make the time to do this.

Thanks
