1982 mercury 70 not getting gas

82 merc 70 3-cyl. Ser. 6163931, after chasing down numerous shorts i finally have blue fire on all 3 cyl., i am getting fuel thru fuel filter into pump but not pass it. Removed three bolts and cleaned both orfices inside still no fuel? Not sure what runs this pump not elec or gear driven, there are 2 other hoses 1 to side of motor and the other goes around back to other side andconnects to side of motor just below powerhead. It's vacuum operated. Check those hoses, a rebuild may be in order for the fuel pump, and check compression of cylinder inline with the hose in side of the block.

I was told it does not do any good to ck compression on a cold motor? Can i check it anyway? How much vacuum should be on those hoses? Thanks for reply's

30 yr ol motor is purring like a kitten, i have to give props to all the ol timers for yur help lol. i am 51 and this is the first outboard i have owned. bought it almost 6 months ago and did all the work myself except having the carbs boiled. it has been a venture! thanks again and keep up the great work! yur frien marcel
