1983 25 mercury

Having a problem when engage to go forward the engine just rev up and the prop doesn't spin. I have check the linkage and it seem to be ok, also it still will run in reverse but not with alot of power don't know if this unusual or not never really used reverse.

Sounds like yer prop hub is spinning which I already told ya how to identify.

If yer prop hub spins, (I told ya how to figure that out), either buy a new prop or have a shop put in a new hub or sell the engine to someone who will. JR
